These days waiting is longer than usual. Time seems to have expanded, become elastic...allowing 23 athletes to lose to each other in a difference of a second. Makes you think a second must be really really long. This wasn't something i noticed, but something that came up over my now regular bout midnight coffee with a friend. Time was seeming especially long then.
